1. The company’s name is THE PILION TRUST LTD
(and in this document it is called “the Charity”).
2. The Charity’s registered office is to be situated in England and Wales.
3. The Charity’s objects (“the Objects”) are
(a) The relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of health of people irrespective of race, culture, gender, sexuality, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, spiritual beliefs, age or disability who are or who have been affected by drug, alcohol misuse, mental ill health or homelessness in particular but not exclusively by the provision of community based support and outreach activities within London Boroughs to begin with then across England and Wales.
(b) The relief of unemployment for the benefit of the public by offering volunteer, trainee, befriending, coaching and mentoring placements to enable the beneficiaries to gain an NVQ3, equivalent or above qualification and move into permanent employment and a long term career.
(c) To advance the awareness and education of the public about the harm of drug and alcohol misuse, issues around homelessness and mental ill health through delivering training, research, advocacy and seminars.
(d) To improve the quality of life to individuals and their families who have been affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental ill health and homelessness in their lives.
(e) To organise fundraising events and activities and tender to local authorities and councils for funding to support and advise individuals with drug and alcohol misuse, mental ill health and homelessness issues.
(f) To advise and support the government of the day in their politics regarding drug addiction, alcohol abuse, mental ill health and homelessness within the wider community.
(g) In the interest of public health, to educate people about the harms of drug and alcohol misuse, the issues surrounding mental ill health and homelessness through delivering training, research, advocacy and seminars.
(h) To co-operate with other charities and organisations to achieve common goals in synergy with the above stated aims.
