Voyssi Project

Voyssi is a multi cultural project specialising in developing and building capacity within BME projects.  The project aims to support Black and Minority Ethnic Communities (BME) in the fields of;

¨ Housing

¨ substance misuse, alcohol

¨ mental health

¨ Youth

¨ Women

¨ Vulnerable adults

Voyssi works cooperatively with members of each ethnic, religious and cultural group across London.

Our aim is to build capacity and knowledge through training, mentoring and support. Our objective is to ensure that the BME community across London feels confident and equipped to tackle some of the issues surrounding the needs of their own communities, as well as provide specialist advice and ongoing support.

It is important to note that Voyssi is an independent project, of the Pilion Trust gets its impetus from Government guidelines and Borough needs assessment amongst the BME community.

Ownership of training belongs to the local community.

Voyssi’s main preoccupation is to learn, understand and overcome any cultural, religious or social barriers (perceived or actual) that individuals may face in seeking support.
